Bun Thit Nuong (Vietnamese Grilled Pork & Rice Noodles)
Ingredients
- 1 package Rice noodles
Pork Marinade
- ½ cup Brown sugar
- 2 Lemongrass
- ½ Onion
- 4 cloves Garlic
- ½ tbsp Black pepper
- 1 tbsp Fish sauce
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1 lb Pork
Additional Protein: (optional)
- Grilled shrimp
Garnish
- Lettuce
- Mint
- Cilantro
- Cucumbers
- Do chua
- Crushed peanuts
- Green onions
Dipping Sauce
- Nuoc mam
Instructions
Pork Marinade
- Mince garlic, onions, lemon grass into a bowl. Mix in pepper, sugar, fish sauce, soy sauce. Add in pork and let marinade in fridge for 8 hours, overnight for best results.
- Grill Pork and cut into pieces. Grill shrimp with salt and pepper.
- Prepare noodles according to packaging.
- Assemble the bowl by placing a lettuce base, then vermicelli noodles. Add slices of pork, shrimp, do chua, and fresh herbs. Garnish with cilantro, green onions and crushed peanuts.
- Serve with Nuoc Mam.
