Wonton Noodle Soup

Wontons

  • 1 package Square wonton wrappers
  • 1 Green Onion
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • ½ lb Shrimp
  • ½ lb Ground Pork
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Garlic
  • ½ tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp Black pepper

Noodle Soup

  • 32 oz Chicken Broth
  • 3 Green onions
  • 2 tbsp Ginger
  • 2 tbsp Garlic

Noodles

  • 1 package Noodles
  • Bok Choy

Wontons

  1. Remove shell and devein shrimp. Mince the shrimp almost into a paste. Add to mixing bowl

  2. Add ground pork into mixing bowl with shrimp.

  3. Mince garlic, ginger, green onions and add to shrimp/pork mixture with corn starch.

  4. Add soy sauce and sesame oil. Mix well until fully incorporated

  5. Use one wonton wrapper at a time- in one hand place the wonton wrapper into your palm and use your finger to lightly wet all the edges around the wonton wrapper. Add 1 tsp. of the wonton filling and fold by bringing all the edges together.

Wonton Soup

  1. In a large pot, add chicken broth, sliced ginger, smashed garlic, and chopped green onions to a boil for about 10-15 minutes.

Assemble

  1. Cook noodles according to packaging and place into serving bowls.

  2. Boil a separate pot of water and blanch bok choy and add on top of noodles

  3. In the soup broth, add wontons. Cook until they float to the surface.

  4. Pour wontons and soup ontop of noodles and bok choy. Garnish with green onions, cilantro or spicy chili oil
