Liz’s French Toast (French Toast Casserole)
This french toast is browned and crispy on the outside and has a creamy, custard flavor on the inside. The fresh fruit completely ties it together!
French Toast
- 5 Eggs
- ½ tsp Cinnamon
- ½ cup Milk
- ¼ tsp Salt
- ½ Loaf of bread
Toppings
- Fresh fruit
- Powdered sugar

Beat 5 eggs in a large bowl. Add milk, cinnamon and salt and mix together until fully combined.

Lightly grease baking dish.

Tear bread into small pieces and layer into dish. *The pieces don't have to be all uniform.

Pour egg custard on top of bread. Use tongs or a fork to toss the bread around to make sure that each piece is completely coated

Bake in an oven at 350° for 20 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Top with fresh fruit, powdered sugar and drizzle maple syrup on top!
